''The Wave' is a collaborative installation between Randy Jayne Rosenberg, Mary Mattingly and Belen Millan first created for Upstate Art Weekend 2024. Located within a historic 19th century church in Rhinebeck, NY, the community instigated a used clothing drive, ultimately our predominant art material. The installation prompts consideration of our evolving relationship with ecology, fast fashion, commodity, globalization, and exploitation. This amalgamation of natural and artificial elements encourages reflection on our collective impact on the environment. As we navigate the complexities of the post-nature era, 'The Wave' underscores the importance of sustainable stewardship and inter-connectedness.
